Dr. Irkin is currently an Prof. Dr. in the Health Science Faculty, Nutrition and Dietetics Department of Izmir Democracy University, Turkey. She earned master’s degree in Food Engineering Dept. from Ege University, Turkey. She received her PhD in Food Engineering Dept. from Uludag University in Turkey. Her research interests focus on Food Microbiology and Food Safety. She has written several articles, conference papers, projects, several book’s chapters. She has also taught many courses related to food microbiology, functional foods at the undergraduate, graduate and PhD level.

Zenaida Chitu has a PhD in Geography from University of Bucharest, Romania. She is
working in the Experimental Hydrology Department, NIHWM, focusing research
activities on soil moisture modelling, calibration of soil moisture sensors and evaluation
of satellite-based soil moisture products. She was involved in experimental studies
regarding the effects of fertilization, applied on apple orchards, on surface and subsurface
water at small catchment scale (Voinesti).
Zenaida has been the Team Leader of the NIHWM partner in the European MOSES
Project: (Managing crOp water Saving with Enterprise Services), H2020-WATER-1a2014, in the frame of which she contributed to a successful implementation of an
innovative platform for providing operational irrigation forecasts that take into account
complex interactions between surface and subsurface water on Alluvial Soils of Lower
Danube Floodplain, Romania.

Bio:
Born in the rural area of Braila county, in a family of thrifty people.
The passion for agriculture was instilled in me since childhood, accentuated in high school, where, as an olympian in chemistry, I gave up a college scholarship for pharmacy to the detriment of agronomic studies.
Qualified as an engineer, before finishing my studies, since 2012, I worked in the private system in the largest farm in Europe, the Big Island of Braila, until 2017, after which I became chief engineer at the Station of Agricultural Development Research in Braila, being responsible for the development sector.
SR II PhD Felicia Chețan

Chețan Felicia- Scientific researcher grade II at Technologies and Mechanization Laboratory. The results of the research have been capitalized in the more than 200 published articles (single author, main author, collab.) + others (doctoral thesis; book; book collaborator; book article). It is member of two professional associations: Romanian National Society of Soil Science (SNRSS) and European Society for Soil Conservation (ESSC). It was also member of the International Scientific Committee of the Symposium “Soil Minimum Tillage Systems” 8-9 May 2019 organized at UASVM Cluj-Napoca. Member of the reviewer board from MDPI Agronomy Journal and International Journal of Sustainable Development Research (IJSRD), 2022. The scientific referent for the book Good practice guide…, 2020 edited by Agricultural Research and Development Station SECUIENI. Co-author of two winter-wheat varieties. In addition to the research activity, she contributed to the organization of the Demo lots at Turda, testing the different PPT products and the fertilizers for spring barley, winter wheat, soybean, sugar beet and maize crops. Member in seven research projects and director/manager of two projects. It also collaborates with UASVM Cluj-Napoca in terms of guiding students who do their internship in the experimental fields at ARDS Turda.
SR III Dr. Eng. George Toader

Bio:
George Toader a graduate of USAMV Bucharest, Faculty of Management and Sustainable Development, specialization Management and Economic Engineering in Agriculture, as well as a master’s degree in communication and management. He has completed his PhD studies in December 2022 in agrochemistry, pedology, plant nutrition and Plant Breeding. Since 2018 to 2021 he has coordinated the Agricultural Products Production Department as Production Manager at Romvac Company S.A. Since 2021 he has coordinated the Southeast Region of Romania as Area Sales Manager at Farmexim S.A. Current position and job: Field Crops Technical Director at Aectra Agrochemicals SRL.
As a result of the research carried out, he contributed to the elaboration of a number of 40 scientific papers. From August 2021, he coordinates the demo batches and the experiences with the new products produced and distributed by Aectra Agrochemicals SRL, this being permanently with the big farmers in Romania, the national distributors of inputs for agriculture and the Research and Development Stations in Agriculture and Vegetables in Romania.
PhD. SR Eng. Florin Mocanu

Bio:
Florin Mocanu, born in 1993, in Braila in a family attracted to agriculture.
He graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture at USAMV Bucharest in 2016.
He currently works at SCDA Braila as a Scientific Research Assistant and is a PhD at the same USAMV Bucharest University, being passionate and dedicated to this field.
PhD SR Eng. Alin Ghiorghe

Bio:
Ghiorghe Ionel Alin, is a scientific researcher at the Station of Agricultural Development Research Braila, a unit in which he has been active since 2016. He works in the Laboratory “Pedology, Land Improvements and Agrophytechnique of Crops on Degraded Soils” and is currently a member of five research projects and published in co-authored eleven scientific papers.
