Reyhan Irkin is a scientific researcher and lecturer professor at İzmir Demokrasi University in Turkey. She has extensive practical experience in food technology and microbiology. She is professor at Health Sciences Faculty in Nutrition and Dietetics Department in University. Her researh focuses on food microbiology, functional foods, dairy technology and food safety.

Bio:

Daniela Trifan has her expertise in agricultural and horticultural crops, and her passion is to improve the quality of crops by using the natural resources. She has completed her PhD in Plant Breeding, and has worked as a teacher in Agricultural Faculty. Currently, she is Research Scientist and Director of Agricultural Research and Development Station of Braila, President of AGROSMART Cluster with 12 members from farmers to research institutes, biofertilizers factory to ITC firm. From 2019 she is director in four national and international research projects, and, in the past, she was director in other 3 national research projects and member in five national research projects. She has published more than 90 scientific papers in reputed journals and three books. She is a Reviewer and Editorial Board Member of more than 6 international journals.


Mihaela Caian

Senior researcher at the National Meteorological Administration

Bio:

Mihaela Caian is a senior researcher at the National Meteorological Administration. Her main expertise is on climate modeling and climate prediction on time-scales from month and seasonal to decadal ranges. Recent focus is on climate scenarios downscaling at high resolutions providing climate information at the impact scale, as required for sectorial and climate extremes analysis.

Bio:

George Toader has over 7 years of experience in agriculture, agribusiness and the production and sale of veterinary pharmaceuticals. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Management, Economic Engineering and Rural Development within USAMV Bucharest, currently being enrolled to defend his doctoral thesis (by the end of February). George Toader held the position of Director of the Agricultural Products Production Department within Romvac Company S.A. for 3 years (coordinating the activities of production, promotion and marketing of agricultural products). Starting with 16.11.2021, he took over the position of Sales Director of the South-East Region (Romania) within the company Farmexim S.A., the European Pheonix group. He is also employed within the Research-Development Station for Agriculture Brăila, within the research department.

Dr. CS III ing. Rezi Raluca Dana

Research and Development Station for Agriculture Turda – Cluj

Bio:

Rezi Raluca a graduate of USAMV Cluj Napoca, Faculty of Agriculture, specialization Engineering and Environmental Protection in Agriculture, as well as a master’s in the Protection of Anthropic and Natural Systems. She has completed her PhD in Plant Breeding in 2015. Current position and job: Scientific researcher grade III Soybean Breeding Laboratory Turda at Agricultural Research-Development Station and has an experience of more than 10 years. From 2019 is the Soybean Breeding Laboratory Manager. Co-author of 8 soybean varieties and 7 patents. As a result of the research carried out, she contributed to the elaboration of a number of 50 scientific papers and 2 chapters in specialized books. At the same time, she organized 8 editions of Donau Soja Demo-field as well as she is a part of European Soybean Breeder Network. Since 2019 she is coordinating Europe-China Trial at SCDA Turda, initiated by Boku University and the Institute of Crop Sciences of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences.

Bio:

PhD Racz Ionuṭ – researcher at Agricultural Research and Development Station Turda and Assistant Professor at University of Agricultural Science and Veterinary Medicine Cluj Napoca, Department of Crop Plants- Genetics. He has more than 12 years of experience in wheat breeding, being involved in different projects for wheat improvement for yield and quality.


SR III Dr. ing. Felicia Chețan

Bio:

Chețan Felicia a graduate of USAMV Cluj-Napoca, Faculty of Agriculture, specialization Agriculture, as well as a master’s in the Rural Development. She has completed her PhD in Agronomy in 2015. Current position and job: Scientific researcher grade III Technologies and Mechanization Laboratory Turda at Agricultural Research-Development Station and has an experience of more than 11 years. Co-author of 2 winter-wheat varieties. As a result of the research carried out, she contributed to the elaboration of a number of 163 scientific papers (of which 14 ISI), 1 book, book contributor, chapter in specialized book. Member of two professional associations: Romanian National Society of Soil Science (SNRSS) and European Society for Soil Conservation (ESSC). Member of the International Scientific Committee of the Symposium “Soil Minimum Tillage Systems” 8-9 May 2019 organized at USAMV Cluj-Napoca. In addition to the research activity, she contributed to the organization of the Demo lots at Turda, testing the different PPT products and the fertilizers for spring barley, winter-wheat, soybean and maize crops. Member in 7 research projects and director/manager of 2 projects.


Dr. ing. Iuroaea Gheorghe

Bio:

Born in 1969, in Fălticeni, Suceava, graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture at USAMV Iasi in 1993.

Passionate about the cultivation of roses, after 2010 he dedicated himself to the activity of ameliorating this plant. He is the author of new varieties of roses, registered since 2018.

Ghiorghe Ionel Alin, is a scientific researcher at the Station of Agricultural Development Research Braila, a unit in which he has been active since 2016. He works in the Laboratory “Pedology, Land  Improvements and Agrophytechnique of Crops on Degraded Soils” and is currently a member of five research projects and published in co-authored eleven scientific papers.

Florin Mocanu, born in 1993, in Braila in a family attracted to agriculture.
He graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture at USAMV Bucharest in 2016.
He currently works at SCDA Braila as a Scientific Research Assistant and is a PhD at the same USAMV Bucharest University, being passionate and dedicated to this field.
